Kelli Hanzo RN, BSN Program Director

As the Program Director, Kelli fulfills clinical and administrative leadership roles for the Bariatric Center. She works closely with the multidisciplinary team to continue to provide the highest quality of care and support for the patients of The Center for Advanced Bariatric Surgery.

Katie Gorman RD, Nutrition Coordinator

As the Nutrition Coordinator, Katie will work with her team to discuss the pre and post operative dietary guidelines, behavioral changes, and the supplements you will need following surgery for the rest of your life to reach and maintain your weight loss goals.

Ana Alvarado, MBSCR Data Entry Clerk

As a Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Clinical Reviewer (MBSCR) Ana collects and inputs data into the MBSAQIP Data Registry Platform as well as coordinate and document patient follow ups after surgery to help us maintain our Center of Excellence.

Myra Pensamiento, Administrative Assistant

As the Administrative Assistant, Myra is available to assist our potential surgical candidates through the pre-surgical process by answering any questions regarding our program and to help you to coordinate your appointments. She will also keep patient informed of Support Group events after surgery.

Toni Pettinato RN, CBN

Toni is a Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN) that each patient will meet with during their pre-operative evaluation and screening appointment. Toni and her team of nurses collect and review all medical information, documentation and clearances from each specialist prior to surgery for insurance approval and the surgeon’s final review.

Carol McGrath RN

Carol is a Registered Nurse that works closely with the multidisciplinary team and is instrumental in preparing patients for surgery with pre-op and post-op education.

Pamela Diaz Insurance Coordinator

As the Insurance Coordinator, Pamela will first ensure that each potential surgical candidate is aware of their insurance plan bariatric coverage. The requirements of our program and the insurance criteria are then explained in detail to each candidate in order to ensure that patients understand the steps necessary to getting authorized for surgery.
